A wonderful LOCAL restaurant with excellent service, friendly staff, and the food was excellent! Michela E was our waitress. She kept our drinks topped off and checked on us regularly! Highly recommend this restaurant!
First time visitors and couldn't not have asked for a better experience. Short wait for a table and very much worth any wait. My husband had surf and turf with scallops. Steak cooked to perfection and scallops amazing. I had seafood pasta and omgoodness it was fabulous. The bread and honey butter were fabulous and the fried pickles were amazing as well. The sweet tea was made to perfection for sweet tea lovers. Overall the atmosphere is fun and full of life! Will stop next trip! Don't skip out on trying Rusty's riverfront. Well worth a visit.
We got there around 11ish am for lunch and was looking for a good steak to eat We never heard if much less been to Rusty's But just let me tell ya This place is the place 12 out of 10 Enjoyed very well and will be back soon 😊 Thank you,
I got the grilled tuna salad (just hear me out), it was freaking amazing!! They grilled it medium rare, and treated it like a steak. It was great. Wife got the grilled chicken, which wasn't spectacular, get the sides and everything else was perfect. Loved it.
**5-Star Review:** I stopped in by myself on a Tuesday afternoon and was greeted with very attentive and welcoming service right from the start. The staff made me feel right at home. I was surprised to see it slightly crowded for a Tuesday afternoon, but it still wasn’t busy enough to have to wait for a table. I started with a large glass of refreshing iced sweet tea with lemon. The fried green tomatoes were delicious — plump slices with a perfect crispy coating, topped with a rich hollandaise sauce loaded with crab meat. So good! The side salad was outstanding and way more than just a “side.” It was loaded with fresh tomatoes, crisp greens, cucumber, okra, peppers, croutons, half a boiled egg, and came with a side of crackers. The house dressing tasted like a spicier version of Thousand Island — absolutely addictive. I honestly wanted to keep eating it. The green beans were amazing too — soft, perfectly cooked, and coated in a savory, salty oil that made them incredibly tasty. The highlight of the meal was the red fish topped with crawfish soufflé. It was a huge portion of flaky, moist, and flavorful fish. The crawfish soufflé on top elevated it even more. Everything was excellent. Great service, generous portions, and delicious food with a Southern/Louisiana flair. If I'm ever in the area again, I’ll definitely be coming back!
Second time eating here. Great place to go. We ate the Brussels sprouts appetizer, had a spicy kick we loved. Their red fish was very good as well. Beer could have been colder though. Bread pudding was good, but so dang temperature hot it burned my mouth because I didn’t want to wait!
Fantastic place right off the river in downtown Vicksburg. We pulled it up on yelp as my buddy and I were driving in. Rusty's was a little busy when we walked but continued to fill up as we ate. We both had one of their locally brewed beers. I had a lager and his was an IPA. I really enjoyed mine and he said his was 'one of the best beers I have ever had'. High praise and I agree with him the beers were fantastic. We both had po boys. His was the shrimp and I had the mixed, shrimp and oysters. Both were well seasoned and very filling. He got a cup of gumbo and it was bursting with seafood. He said it was excellent. I would definitely encourage you to stop in and enjoy a meal if you are traveling through or stopping in Vicksburg.

The most difficult thing is deciding what to pick off the menu. I choose the grilled Grouper, soft shelled crab with house made hollandaise Sauce. Comes with two sides. I picked the cheesy grits and side salad. Did you ever have a meal where you smiled through the entire meal? This is the meal. The restaurant is located in downtown historic Vicksburg, a short walk from the mighty Mississippi river. Great place for travelers and locals.
Food was spectacular! I absolutely loved the fried green tomatoes with their house-made hollandaise sauce — such a delicious combination. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the flavor was. I had the blackened shrimp with a sweet potato and a crab cake, which was all delicious. I especially loved the pickled vegetables on top of the salad — such a great touch that added a lot of flavor. Our server was amazing, and the whole place was hopping when we got there. They initially told us the wait would be about an hour, but it ended up being only 20 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. I also want to give a shout-out to the busing staff — they were very quick and courteous. This place truly runs like a well-oiled machine. I was very impressed. Keep up the great work!
